Assistant Professor

Experience:

The PHFI Institute of Public Health Sciences (PHFI–IPHS), Deemed to be University, is India’s premier institution dedicated exclusively to advancing education, research, and practice in public health notified under the Distinct Category of UGC (Deemed to be Universities) Regulations 2024.

Rooted in the distinguished legacy of the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), the University builds upon more than a decade of pioneering work carried out by the Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) established across the country. The Deemed University currently encompasses the campuses at Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Bhubaneswar, while PHFI’s other institutes — including IIPH Gandhinagar, IIPH Delhi, and IIPH Shillong — continue to strengthen the broader national public health network.

Together, these institutions form a pan-India ecosystem of teaching, research, capacity building, and policy engagement. Supported by a distinguished national pool of faculty, researchers, and practitioners, PHFI–IPHS draws on the collective expertise and experience of India’s leading public health professionals to address the country’s evolving health challenges.

PHFI–IPHS currently offers postgraduate programs and specialized training designed to equip students with the knowledge, analytical skills, and leadership required to strengthen health systems and promote equity in health at local, national, and global levels.

Guided by PHFI’s vision of “a healthier India through stronger public health systems”, the University remains committed to advancing evidence-based education, fostering innovation, and nurturing the next generation of public health leaders.
